VOIP Phone KE2100




Minimum Requirements for Installing a KE2100 VOIP phone

1) KE2100 VOIP phone Kit with following component
    i) Hard Phone with handset
   
ii) RJ11 Handset line.
   
iii) 5V power adapter.
   
iv) Ethernet (RJ45) cable.
2) An AC power socket.
3) Broadband internet access that can reach the VoIP service provider’s platform.
4) Network connection to the VoIP service provider’s platform must have bandwidth more than 30Kbps.
5) PC with network card (not required): Configuration can be done on PC by accessing the VOIP phone using its IP address. VOIP phone can be connected directly to internet through modem without a PC; here configuration is done on the phone itself, so computer is not a necessity. 



Configuration steps for VOIP phone KE2100

1) Connect the 5V dc power cable and the RJ45 cable to the WAN port.

2) Press Set/Ok for Menu.

3) Select ‘Network’ option to configure the network.
    a) Choose ‘WAN setup’ option.
   
b) Select ‘IP Type’, in that choose ‘DHCP client’.
    c) Go back to ‘Networks’ option and choose ‘LAN setup’, set it to ‘NAT’.
    d) Again go back to ‘Networks’ option and select ‘DNS’.
    e) Under ‘Primary DNS’, enter ‘primary DNS IP’ address as ‘4.2.2.2’
        (Under Secondary DNS, enter Secondary DNS IP).

4) Now we need to configure ‘SIP settings’, authorization is required for this.
    For that go to ‘Administrator’ option in the menu, select ‘System Authent’.
    Enter the password as ‘test’.

5) Now open ‘SIP settings’. Select ‘Service Domain’ and select ‘First Realm’.
    a)
Choose ‘Activation’ option and Enable it.
    b) Go back and enter the Username.
    c) Similarly enter the Display name, Register name and Register Password.
    d) Under the ‘First Realm’ itself, select ‘Proxy server’ and enter the address ‘sip.acrodelon.com’
    e) And select Domain server and enter ‘sip.acrodelon.com’.

6) After each configuration press ESC key to save and reboot.

In a DHCP network, the IP address will be automatically assigned to the VOIP phone when it is connected to the network. When it is Fixed IP we have to connect the phone to the network and enter the IP address manually. Follow the steps given below to add the IP address.
      
1. Press Set/Ok for Menu.
2. Select ‘Network’ option to configure the network.
i) Choose ‘WAN setup’ option.
ii) Select ‘Fixed IP Settings’
iii) Select ‘IP address’ and enter the IP address, and click on Ok.
iv) Select ‘Subnet mask’ and enter the Subnet mask IP address.
v) Select ‘Default Gateway’ and enter the Default Gateway IP address.
vi) Press ‘ESC’ key to save and reboot the changes. 

            You might get the error ‘No Service’ on the LCD display if we haven’t set any account/ service information or due to incorrect configuration in the SIP settings. It occurs when the data to the terminal’s SIP port is modified or filtered. Ensure the network and ports are available, and the data is not modified or filtered also make sure that SIP settings are configured correctly.

            You might get the ‘Ethernet error’ on the LCD display. We get this when there is any error in the connection to the network. Please ensure that LAN settings are configured correctly. Also, this may arise due to some error in the network connection.
